Dubai rent increases are capped by RERA Decree 43 of 2013 — the cap depends on how far below the RERA Rental Index your current rent sits. Most tenants don't realise an increase is illegal until they've already paid it. This calculator pulls the current RERA index for your area, applies the legal cap, and tells you (a) whether the proposed increase is permissible, (b) what the legal maximum actually is, and (c) the all-in cost of moving (agent fee, DEWA reconnection, Ejari, removal van, security deposit) so you can decide whether to fight, accept, or relocate.
If the increase is illegal, the tool generates the standard rebuttal letter to send your landlord and explains the Rental Dispute Centre process if they refuse to comply.
