How do I register my short-term rental with Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM)?
To register your short-term rental with the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), follow these steps to ensure compliance and legally operate a holiday home:
Create an Account on the DTCM Portal
Visit the DTCM Holiday Homes website here and create an account. This will allow you to manage the registration process for your property and monitor its status.
Submit Required Documents
Prepare the necessary documents based on whether you are an owner, tenant, or professional operator:
For Property Owners: Title deed, passport or Emirates ID, and a recent DEWA bill.
For Tenants: A tenancy agreement with a subletting clause, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the landlord, Emirates ID, and DEWA bill.
For Professional Operators: A commercial license that explicitly includes "Vacation Homes Rental" as a business activity.
Apply for a Permit
Once registered, log into your account and start the application by clicking "Add Unit." Fill in the property details, attach the required documents, and submit the application. Make sure all documents are valid and clear to avoid delays.
Pay Fees
The registration fee is AED 1,520 (AED 1,500 plus AED 20 for knowledge and innovation fees). In addition, the Tourism Dirham Fee must be collected from guests, which is AED 10 per room per night for standard properties and AED 15 for deluxe homes.
Approval and Permit Issuance
Once your application is reviewed and approved by the DTCM, you'll receive a permit, which must be displayed in your property. You can then legally operate and list your short-term rental.
Following these steps ensures compliance with Dubai’s regulations and enables you to legally operate your short-term rental.
