What are the costs associated with getting a short-term rental permit in Dubai?

The cost of obtaining a short-term rental permit in Dubai depends on the size and classification of the property. Here's a breakdown of the key fees:

  1. Permit Fee:

    • Studio or 1-bedroom unit: AED 370 per year

    • 2-bedroom unit: AED 670 per year

    • 3-bedroom unit: AED 970 per year

    • 4-bedroom or more: AED 1,270 per year


  2. Additional Costs:

    • Application and inspection fees: AED 1,520 annually to process the application and conduct the necessary inspections​

    • Tourism Dirham Tax: This fee is charged per room, per night. It ranges from AED 10 for standard properties to AED 15 for deluxe properties and must be paid to the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) on a monthly basis​
